Luke Turnbull Signs with APIA

The club is pleased to announce the signing of Goal Keeper Luke Turnbull to our 2017 1st Grade squad.

After last years disappointing season, the club has made a change to its goal keeping ranks with the signing of goal keeper Luke Turnbull.

Turnbull a former NSWIS graduate and Newcastle Jet has joined the club for the upcoming season from Parramatta FC.Turnbull comes to the club on the back of an excellent season with Parramatta FC and joins former Eagle team mate Josh Symons at Lambert Park this season.

Defensive frailties cost the club dearly last season and the club now proudly boasts 2 young, hungry and extremely talented goal keepers who are driven, and have the clubs best interests moving forward. “We already have Blake Tuxford who is one of the competitions best young keepers but we want competition in every position, so of course we signed another of the competitions best young keepers in Luke. Not only do they provide cover for each other, but having two excellent starting calibre keepers not only is a sign of intent by the club but also pushes themselves to become better”

Turnbull 23,who stands well over 6ft 3in is determined to make an impact this season and sees the club fighting for major honours.
