The above club is currently seeking players wishing to compete in the prestigious 62nd edition of the annual ‘Coppa Carnevale’ Under 20 Youth Cup in Italy between January 23rd 2010 and February 8th 2010. APIA Leichhardt Tigers will be participating in its eigth successive Tournament in 2010, a Tournament that hosts the likes of A.C Milan, Inter Milan, Tottenham Hotspurs, Juventus, A.S Roma, Bayern Munich, Santos, Anderlecht, River Plate, Olympiakos and Fiorentina every year. In all, a massive 48 leading clubs.In the past five years, Apia Leichhardt Tigers has had opponents in their group matches such as Partizan Belgrade, A.C Milan on two occasions, Juventus, Tottenham Hotspurs, Queens Park Rangers and Inter Milan. We invite expressions of interest from talented and ambitious Under 20 players; the bulk of this team will also form the clubs Under 20’s NSW Premier League squad for 2010. 2009/10 APIA TIGERS Futsal Development Academy
APIA Tigers will be running a new and exciting high profile Futsal development academy to identify and develop the techniques of young Futsal players.
Our camp will be a fun way to improve your Futsal skills. The Academy caterers for boys and girls in the following age groups under 9s, 10s and 11s, (born 2000 - 1998) also caters for the 6s - 8s developing fundamental Futsal principles. All players are welcome to participate from any area/ suburb across Sydney in APIA Futsal Academy. Coaches: The Academy attracts leading coaches with great experience, including current players/ coaches, from the current NSW Premier/Super Leagues as well as senior NSW state players to host the clinics. Futsal Development Academy commences on Friday 2nd October 2009 at Ashfield Boy’s High School Under 6s, 7s, 8s 6pm – 7pm Under 9s, 10s, 11s 7pm – 8pm Cost: $195 per player for the 12 week program. All participating players will receive complete training outfit/strip. APIA Tigers Futsal will be participating in the Football NSW 2009/10 Futsal Super League; the club is looking for exciting and talented Futsal players to trial for the following age groups;
Men & Women Futsal Trials:
12 Girls, 14 Girls, 16 Girls & Women 12 Boys, 14 Boys, 16 Boys, Youth Men and Men
Sunday 23rd August, Sunday 30th August, Sunday 6th September
Venue: Robyn Webster Centre, Holbeach Road, Tempe
Boys U12’s: 5pm to 6pm – Court 1
Boys U14’s: 6pm to 7pm – Court 1
Boys U16’s: 7pm to 8pm – Court 1
Youth & Men: 8pm to 9pm – Court 1
Girls U12’s: 6pm to 7pm – Court 2
Girls U14’s: 7pm to 8pm – Court 2
Girls U16’s & Women: 8pm to 9pm – Court 2 All players must arrive 30 minutes prior to the commencement of trials to be ready to start on time.

Futboltec & APIA Leichhardt tigers training camp- CLICK HERE unders 12's win 2009 state cup - Please Click Here The Under 12/1a entered the competition along with 32 other teams in their age group and successfully won the final 2-0 against Glossodia from the Penrith/Nepean District. There were many good Under 12 teams in this competition including Sydney United, West Pymble and Fairfield Colts which all reached the quarter final rounds of the competition. The strength & depth of the squad , leadership and management all contributed to a tremendous team effort in winning the State Cup. Coaching was led by Gabriel Mendez, & team management by Keith Rovers and Jan Breckenridge. This is a great result for the club and a tribute to the teams discipline and commitment. Congratulations to the team. Leichhardt Tigers awarded Player of Tournament at Kanga Cup Congratulaions to Soroush Zand from the Tigers U10/1b team for being awarded player of the tournament at the 2009 McDonald's Kanga Cup in Canberra. Out of more than 180 players, Soroush Zand won Player of the Tournament in the U10 Boys Cup competition. He proudly received his trophy from the ACT Minister for Tourism, Sport and Recreation. His award is a credit to the entire Kanga Cup team who played courageously and with dedication. The team reached the semi-finals of the competition. Well done to all players who proudly represented the Canterbury District in Canberra.
